Gears of War Reveiw

-Gears of War

Gameplay:
This game has some mighty gameplay. Gears changes up the shooter games by having it a third person game. This actually fits the game a lot more than a first person game would. Also, the cover system is great, and so is the co-op. They really made it like a co-op game, even though it really isn't. There is always somebody by your side, and when there isn't, somebody is helping you from a distance. The controls are great too. One of the only things I don't like is having to switch to grenades instead of getting to throw them without switching, and those awful berserkers.

Story:
The story is mostly easy to follow. Some parts you might not understand too well, and some parts you just don't care for. But you do end up caring for the characters, and that's what matters. The story is interesting if you follow it.
8/10

Graphics:
The graphics are great. Things look real, and there are destructible environments and nothing is 2-d. The graphics are great, but sometimes it will fail to load the character model, and you will look very terrible for a few seconds. That's what brings the score down.
8/10

Replay:
Replaying this game is largely uninteresting. You've already beaten the game, and to replay it isn't that fun. There are a couple really fun levels, but nothing beats the first time playing it. There are Cog tags to collect, but those can be very hard to find without looking up the locations.

Recommend? Surprisingly, no. It was a very fun game, but if you're considering getting it, just skip to Gears of War 2. It's a much better game.
